Presentation & process codes
Origin
Off Cape Blanc, the Canary Current draws deep, nutrient-rich water up the Mauritanian shelf. These grounds carry one of the world's principal Octopus vulgaris stocks — and the cold-water feeding gives it the firm, dense flesh, low water content and high cooking yield that processors and foodservice buyers specify.
